Hi and welcome to Southern Sketch! My name is Margaret and I am a one woman show who has found a love for creating and digitizing southern style machine embroidery designs. I was born and raised in Nashville TN, met my husband the first night of college in Knoxville (Go Vols!) and lived Memphis for 7 years where we had our first little boy. I always assumed I would dress Peter like a little Nashville hipster, but the Mississippi influence on Memphis got the better of me and I couldn't resist the bubbles, jonjons, peter pan collars, and of course his name embroidered on just about everything. My husband's job moved us to Harrisonburg VA in February of 2021, which was one month after I started this business and one month before the birth of our second son, Charlie. Southern Sketch has been such a joy through so much change and keeps me feeling connected to my southern roots.
